PS Mukhwana further noted that production is set to increase with the completion of the CAIPS, which are mainly focused on value addition to agroproducts.

This, he noted, is in line with the Government's efforts to create more employment opportunities for the youths through manufacturing.

Dr. Mukhwana, who has spearheaded the CAIPS project since its Inception, further assured manufacturers of continued Government support in the growth of Industry, saying that manufacturing machinery will now be imported duty free, with affordable financing also being offered by the Kenya Development Corporation, for manufacturers and business owners.

PS @DrJumaMukhwana, also toured the Isiolo International Airport, which he noted was an added advantage to the surrounding regions, and would serve as an export point for processed goods to international destinations,  manufactured from the Menu and Embu CAIPS.

Avocados, pulses, coffee, macadamia nuts and bananas are among the value chains to be processed in the two CAIPs.
