IMPLEMENTATION GUIDELINES AND POLICY FRAMEWORK FOR COUNTY AGGREGATION & INDUSTRIAL PARKS(CAIPs) ROLL-OUT

The Principal Secretary for Industry Dr. Juma Mukhwana has urged Counties to take lead in agricultural production and value addition in a bid to operationalize the County Aggregation and Industrial Parks (CAIPs) under development in their regions.

PS Mukhwana said that the government was investing Shs.25Billion into the CAIPs in five years to enable the counties set up common user facilities for value addition and processing.
He officially opened the National Technical Implementation Committee on the County Aggregation and Industrial Parks (CAIPs) meeting at KITI Nakuru. 
The event brings together County Executives from among others Busia, Kakamega, Bungoma, Kwale and Kisii Counties, in deliberating on the policy framework for the CAIPs.
