Kenya's Green Industrialization Agenda, tops Italy Renewal Energy Talks
Principal Secretary, the State Department for Industry at the Ministry of Investments, Trade, and Industry, Dr. Juma Mukhwana today joined President William Ruto’s Special Envoy for Climate Change, Ali Mohamed; and his Energy counterpart Alex Wachira; at the Kenya’s Renewable Energy and Green Industrialization Opportunities Seminar in Italy, Rome.
The delegation, hosted by the Med-Or Italian Foundation, focused on Kenya’s energy and industrial transition, highlighting opportunities for investment and strategic partnerships.
With a target on Italian players in the fields of renewable energy, sustainable mobility, and industrial decarbonization, the team sought to promote new industrial collaborations, infrastructure projects, and public-private partnerships based on innovation, knowledge transfer, and sustainable development.
The Italpress reported, that among the topics discussed included the creation of low-impact Green Industrial Parks, the development of renewable energy sources (solar, wind, and storage systems), and technologies for green hydrogen and sustainable fuel production.
Other sectors of interest were the electric mobility, sustainable agriculture, and responsible natural resource management. As part of Med-Or’s initiatives in Africa, this event offered a significant opportunity for dialogue between Italian and Kenyan institutions and businesses.
Kenya presents strategic investment potential, with the public-private partnership model offering a platform for collaborations in driving energy and Green Industrialization transition.
