Launch of the Development of the cotton, textile and apparel value chain policy

PS for Industry Dr Juma Mukhwana is calling upon agricultural Research Institutions to propagate certified and treated  cotton seed which can withstand drought and pests in order to revive moribund cotton farming in Kenya. He added that there was need to equip farmers with agronomics necessary for them to boost production using tested and approved practices as opposed to low yielding traditional methods. Dr Mukhwana made the remarks while launching the Development of the cotton, textile and apparel value chain policy at a Nairobi hotel today.
