GIZ BOOSTS KITI WITH SH 100M TRAINING EQUIPMENT.
The Director and staff of KITI received a donation of equipment from GIZ under an MoU that was signed in 2021 between the State Department for Industry and GIZ. The equipment is for Food Technology and Production and will be used in training students in value addition for agricultural produce. The equipment will be delivered in three phases at an estimated cost of Kshs. 100 million.
The support is provided under the GIZ regional programme on Employment and Skills for Development (E4D) which aims at improving the employment and economic situation of job seekers, employees, and enterprises in cooperation with public and private sector organizations. Korea International Development Agency (KOICA) is a partner in the programme.
