Call for Strengthening Kenya-Japan Business Engagements

The Principal  Secretary for Industry Dr Juma Mukhwana PhD, HSC toured the Honda Automobile factory on 26th October 2023 in Kumamoto region of Japan.  The factory visit was organized on the sidelines of the G7 session of Trade Ministers meeting where he accompanied CS Rebecca Miano who happens to be the only   Minister from Africa invited to the meeting.

Dr. Juma Mukhwana emphasized to the Japanese investors the need for them to consider Kenya as their strategic partner and investment location of choice for the mutual benefit of the people of Kenya and Japan. This was ideal because Kenya has a young demographic resource that has the potential to be nurtured to grow the Automotive sector and through the African Market under the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) be able to use Kenya as a gateway to the whole of the populous African continent through making more investments in the assembly and manufacture of the parts and motorcycles in Kenya thus Creating more jobs and growing the economy.Call for Strengthening Kenya-Japan Business Engagements
